The Fat Out Fest 2020 MIXCLOUD stream will be completely FREE to watch so we are asking for donations to support the work we do and our two chosen charities; akt & Maggie’s centre.
Fat Out Fest 2020 would not have happened without the graft and huge support of our extended events family. After months of not being able to work on anything it has been incredible to see the amount of support given from so many people to make this version of Fat Out Fest happen in 2020 with very limited funds. Your donations will help Fat Out support our artists, freelancers and production crews through these difficult times and keep us fighting on to ensure our culture won't be stopped.
akt supports lgbtq+ young people aged 16-25 in the uk who are facing or experiencing homelessness or living in a hostile environment. They support young people into safe homes and employment, education or training, in a welcoming and open environment that celebrates lgbtq+ identities.
Maggie’s offers the best possible support free to anyone with cancer and their families.
In March we lost a special starwoman Helen Dale to cancer. Dale was a huge part of Manchester’s alternative queer scene, playing in bands and supporting the scene as a massive music fan. Bowie fanatic, fancy dress queen and the ultimate explorer, Dale will be forever missed and with us in divine spirit on all our future dancefloors. Maggie’s centre in Manchester is where Dale found solace & peace during her battle with cancer so we want to raise as much money for them in her memory.
